COME TO GOD.

“Come To God” was born from an incredible turning point in my life—I lost my belongings to the flood, was blindsided by an abrupt ending to my most central relationships, and consequently moved across the country to LA. In the midst of my reality turning upside down, I came to recognize grief as a deeply important teacher. It’s always there, cyclically birthing me into new forms, showing me I am safe in my body.

I wrote “Come To God” as final process for a closing chapter. The writing, the mantra, denial and anger, —the dancing and hearing it reflected back through headphones, and eventually finding true acceptance with my knees in tidal water. Making this video was intentional ritual ceremony. Released beyond me on the blood worm moon, in hopes that it dances with others as they too learn from grief again and again.

I am deeply grateful to my dear friend Elliott Kozel for always being there with me to help spin my big wild feelings into recorded momentum.
